We would love the opportunity to partner with Greater Maricopa Business Alliance by inviting Chamber members to visit our school and read to our students during Read Across America Week. Feb 2nd, 2026 to Feb 6th, 2026.

Each year, we are privileged to welcome community leaders such as the Mayor, City Council Members, Maricopa Fire and Police Departments, and MUSD School Board members to participate. Their presence makes a powerful impact—students are inspired when they see the adults who serve their city take time to share a story and promote the joy of reading.

This experience allows students from preschool through 5th grade to meet local leaders, build community connections, and develop a love for literacy. We provide a selection of age-appropriate books, or volunteers are welcome to request a favorite book, which we will do our best to accommodate.

Volunteer readers typically visit for about one hour, though we are happy to be flexible based on individual schedules. Reading times are available between 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
